In the book "Fruit Of The Spirit"  Rev. Dr. Gloria Nixon Pone contemplated the issue of continuance of the
soul of the Congregational Church of South Hempstead, United Church of Christ and designed a process to
capture the feelings and thoughts of its members and friends. The questions developed forced thinking
about life in general, but also about the legacy to youth, one’s walk with God, and what one leaves behind.

It is our prayer that reading, Fruit of the Spirit: Telling Our Stories in Words and Images will
stimulate the reader to contemplate a closer relationship with God, the church, and others. Furthermore,
we pray that the stories will heighten their awareness of God’s blessings in their lives; inspire them to ask
themselves, how can I better recognize and share God’s blessings in my life with others?
